Description

Algonquin Studios is seeking qualified individuals for Developer I positions. Developers will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects as part of a software development team.

In this position, the candidate should expect to:

Complete specific programming tasks under direct supervision.
Integrate database and component tools into Windows and Web based interfaces.
Provide feedback to application design team to improve software quality.
Execute detailed testing plans for created software and test the software of other developers.
Work as an on-going development resource on multiple simultaneous projects.
Become knowledgeable about basic requirements analysis and system design.
Train lower level developers on coding and testing procedures

Requirements

College degree in related field OR equivalent professional developer experience. (required)
Ability to structure time flexibly across many projects (required)
Ability to learn from constructive criticism. (required)
Ability to function independently and under pressure (required)
Good communication skills and a strong work ethic (required)
Desire to learn as part of a professional development team (required)
Basic understanding of computer programming techniques (required)
Experience in Microsoft .NET, VB, ASP.Net, and SQL (preferred)
Knowledge of HTML, XHTML, XSLT, XML, CSS, JavaScript (preferred)
