QA Analyst

Position: QA Analyst

Position Type: Full Time

Description

The QA Analyst will be responsible for ensuring the quality and completeness of custom software development projects. They will participate in all aspects of the Software Development Lifecycle to ensure quality and testability of all requirements, develop test cases and scenarios, collecting test data, executing test plans and tracking defects. Also, the QA Analyst will be responsible for QA and Testing process improvement including automation, tool sets, reporting, etc.

In this position, the candidate should expect to:

• Create detailed test plans.
• Execute detailed test plans.
• Track defects.
• Provide feedback to application design team to improve software quality.
• Work as an on-going testing resource on multiple simultaneous projects.
• QA/Testing Process Improvement including, automation and evaluation of testing and bug tracking tool sets, etc.
• Conduct work at local client sites when necessary.

Requirements

All candidates should meet the following requirements:

• 2-4 year college degree
• 2+ years professional experience in Software QA/Testing
• Familiarity with automated testing and bug tracking tools
• Ability to structure time flexibly across many projects
• Ability to learn from constructive criticism
• Ability to function independently and under pressure
• Good communication skills and a strong work ethic
• Desire to learn as part of a professional development team
