We're The Official QR Code Sponsor of 2012 Legal Marketing Association Conference
In our fourth year exhibiting at the Legal Marketing Association's annual conference, we've decided to step it up a notch. So, in addition to exhibiting at the show, we're happy to announce our official QR Code sponsorship of the 2012 LMA Conference in Texas! The codes, spread throughout the conference center, will convey important conference information to attendees and we'll also have some dedicated to fun and games, allowing attendees to learn more about how QR codes can be used as fun, effective, and informative marketing tools.

Mike joined us in late October as a Sales Consultant focused on promoting our content management system, QuantumCMS, and its related services. Mike comes to us from Buffalo Business First and Buffalo Law Journal, where he spent almost five years as a Marketing Consultant selling advertising space and subscriptions for both papers.

Interview with Jeff Hensel, Customer Care and Software Support Representative
AS: How long have you been working at Algonquin Studios? JH: I've been here for 13 months, but it feels like just yesterday that I was the new guy around the office!
AS: Tell us about your education/previous employment background.
JH: I received my Bachelor of Science in Computer Information Systems at SUNY Institute of Technology in 2009. I worked at a few different restaurants to make ends meet until I started here at Algonquin. As enjoyable as my restaurant positions were, I'm thrilled to be done with those!
AS: What project(s) are you currently working on for Algonquin Studios? What have you enjoyed most during your employment here?
JH: I provide software support for SWRemote, our mobile application for field technicians, Customer Portal and Annie Unplugged, call-taking applications for the service industry, and, most recently, QuantumCMS, our content management system. I really enjoy forming relationships with our customers and, when people tell us how much they like our products and appreciate everything we do for them, it puts a smile on my face.
AS: What's your favorite aspect of working at Algonquin? JH: I feel very lucky to be able to say that my co-workers aren't just people I work with, but my friends. Algonquin is picky, in a good way, about the people we hire and it shows. We work hard but we have a very good time doing so!
AS: What do you do when you're not helping Algonquin and SWRemote clients get up to speed? JH: I have a number of hobbies that I spend my free time on. I play Street Fighter 4 competitively and travel to tournaments, watch a lot of hockey on TV, cook for my roommates and friends, and scuba dive.
AS: Tell us something about yourself that might surprise your co-workers or our clients.
JH: I spent time working on staff for a couple of professional e-sports teams (United5 and zEx) a few years ago. Competitive gaming has always been a passion of mine.
