Rhea Anna

Algonquin Studios worked with freelance designer Alan Kegler to create a web-based portfolio for photographer Rhea Anna. Mr. Kegler had already created an award-winning identity for Ms. Anna, and she wanted to carry the same look and feel to the web.

Ms. Anna's documentary style of photography was best served by a storybook-type of navigation, where the visitor is able to "flip pages" to see the next image.

Ms. Anna also utilized the web site as a way to exchange files with clients, through a protected section visible only to selected visitors.

Algonquin Studios received a gold award in the 2002 Addy Awards sponsored by Brainstorm, as well as a bronze award in the 2000 Art Directors/Communicators of Buffalo Awards for Creative Excellence for this site. A former client, Ms. Anna and Algonquin received extensive positive feedback on the site, and the layout and design persists to this day even under the support of a freelancer for site maintenance.

Rhea Anna The soft feel of the site was accentuated by the subtle grey border and white space surrounding all of the imagery.

Rhea Anna Many elements were reused throughout the site to keep the load time of each page to a minimum, and to keep the visitor's focus on the photographs.
