Algonquin Studios Develops Online Shops to Raise Awareness for Non-Profit Organizations

Algonquin Studios, Inc. announced today that it has developed an internet-based apparel shop system designed for non-profit organizations to raise public awareness in their communities.

"We are in a position to use technology as an avenue for non-profit organizations to greatly expand the community's awareness of their organizations," states Greg Norton, President of Algonquin.  "It's important that non-profit organizations know this service is available for them."

The "YourCompanyShop" (YCS) system, built on Algonquin's QuantumCMS platform, allows organization members and supporters to purchase their uniquely branded apparel.  A portion of the proceeds from each sale are donated directly to the participating organization each month.  "The effect is two-fold," Norton states, "organizations raise awareness through the sale and marketing of their embroidered apparel while establishing a new source of funding that they would not otherwise have."

Algonquin has deployed the "YCS" system for other non-profit organizations including Roswell Park Cancer Institute and Hunter's Hope. YourCompanyShop was also selected as the fundraising platform for Virgin Atlantic Global Flyer's world-record flight around the world.  Embroidered apparel and other promotional items were offered, benefiting ORBIS, a global organization dedicated to the prevention of blindness.
